Value exchange - that’s why giving happens, not altruism or guilt-ridden virtue.
All giving is reciprocal - all generosity includes self-interest - all charity is quid pro quo - all philanthropy is problem solving. And the sooner we get over ourselves, the sooner we do the real work of nonprofits - giving generosity the path of least resistance. Nonprofit marketing IS marketing. Nonprofit work is first an exercise in media and branding, and second a service to its end-beneficiary. Generosity is a value exchange - that’s the ROI of giving. Comments are closed.
