Which one will you choose: mentoring mentors or training mentors?
Mentoring is cool. If you mentor, you must be a good leader - worthy of emulating and learning from. And that means it's also bound by ego and self-indulgence. But mentoring is a dead-end addition game. It makes the mentor feel good and important and needed and valuable. It's a one-on-one relationship that is labor intensive, emotionally satisfying, and horribly wasteful creating mentees in your own image. Mentoring training is a multiplication game (and it even fulfills the ego driven motive some need while creating an exponential outcome). So, are you mentoring mentors or mentoring trainers?
