There's a reason your 'voice' doesn't matter.
Because you're not the product, service or brand. Here's an easy 'tell' of an emotionally immature organization - they complain the marketing and communications copy doesn't sound like 'them' - doesn't capture their 'voice' - it's that easy. The job of marketing and communications is to generate business, sales, support - not to faithfully capture the CEO's unique voice, style or favorite color pallet. And the amazing thing about so many who ARE the product, service or brand is this - someone else is crafting their 'voice' - it's that obvious. There are lot of talented actors, singers, performers, bakers, baristas, and nonprofits, but they're not all successful or popular, are they! Why is that? Comments are closed.
