Sprinting snails

We're all sure the snail is slow.

That is, compared to you, me, others - everyone except maybe a sloth (and be nice to the sloth - they don't seem sexy but you've got to watch a National Geographic show or two - you'll see).

We praise sprinting speed. But what if a snail is sprinting? What is the snail is not only efficient but exceptionally so?

We have all have breezed by colleagues who are mediocre and therefore s-l-o-w... but there are a few who are actually sprinting like the snail.

They aren’t in it for the money - they can’t not do what they’re doing (it’s like breathing to them - it’s what they do to live). What we call slow is really patience.

But what’s the ONE thing you won’t see a snail doing?

Complaining - to blame others, their shell, their slowness, gravity, politics, or even jealously insulting the hare (but that’s another story).

Think of the snail as a true entrepreneur - they’re gonna do what snails do because that’s what it means to be a snail.

The same holds true for all you purpose-driven, mission-minded, entrepreneurial visionaries.

So if you're so driven, why do you have time to complain anyway? Shut up already. No one’s listening - we’re too busy being sprinting snails.
