Relationship-Words

There are transactional-words - price, total, tax, quantity, terms. They are necessary and ordinary and we don't put much stock in their meaning because they say what they mean and they get us from selling to sold.

But if all our words are only transactional-words, we'll never be more than someone in the commodity business. A vendor - not unlike a machine.

Relationship-words are different - thanks and please are the basic ones, and questions and affirmations of emotional phrasing like 'too often' and phrases like what-are-you-looking-for or do-you-like-this-color or does-this-work-for-you or how-do-you-feel-about... take us to a new level... into the land of emotional triggers.

Look at your writing, your sales pitch, your communications and see if you are close to the kind of relationship-words that, well, create relationships instead of just another transaction.

Here is my list words connected somehow with emotional triggers (and you don’t have to know how they are connected, just that they are) for sentences that are so numbing and painfully ordinary.
