Merit can be a painful thing (but that’s what we’ve all been hoping for).
It doesn’t matter who you know - how rich you are - where you were born - marketing today has no middle-man controlling our success.
It’s what we all said matters.
The merit of our message, our talent, our skills, our value-add is not in the hands of six creepy, old, rich, power-hungry men in a smokey board room.
Our fame is no longer up to a predator and a casting couch.
It’s all on us... and if we’re selling what people want to buy.
And if we fail, that’s on us too.
The market determines whether our business or product or service or nonprofit succeeds.
And that feels cruel, but it’s true. (And it's what we've always said it should be like.)
The sooner we figure this out, the sooner we can win.
