And that’s what’s wrong with marketing and brand today. Trying to see a 1-to-1 relationship between marketing, equity, spend and sales (ROI) is like asking what the ROI of love is. Brand (without sales) is an investment in trust and reputation. Not a 1-to-1 return on investment. If you’re not doing THIS kind of brand-building, you’re NOT doing brand-building.
