I love leap years. (Almost as much as Mondays! - Yes, I'm sincerely serious... this is not sarcasm!)
It's not because a childhood friend get's to celebrate their birthday on their actual date of birth. (Imagine the poor souls who are born on February 29!) It's not because annual salary is reduced by 1/365 (or is it 1/364?). And it's not because renters get an extra day in the already shortest month of renting. It's not even because the the way we anticipated the Olympics in my childhood is finally rewarded (do you know how long 4 years is for a child?!). February 29th is a free, extra day. A chance to do something different. Say something different. Be something different. Don't miss it. Don't ignore it. Use it. (Because if you don't, you'll have to wait another 4 years to try something different on this most special of all days!) Do you know how long 4 years is for struggling businesses, organizations and nonprofits? Comments are closed.
