Once upon a time, electrical companies had to sell people on the usefulness and benefits of electricity.
They needed marketers - persuading and promising potential users - it wasn't a fad, it was safe, and pretty soon the world would be run by electricity. Oh, and imagine all the applications for electrical gadgets in the home.
Hard to imagine - right? What's even more difficult to wrap our minds around is how difficult it was... how much resistance (no pun intended) potential customers put up.
Today, we can't imagine our home without a ready supply of the stuff. And we'd laugh at spending a cent on 'marketing' electricity.
Here's the challenge for us: coming to terms with the next big thing like electricity.
One day, people will laugh at our marketing of something so obvious, so ubiquitous, so essential as ________________. (Go ahead - fill in the blank.)
