If only I’d bought Bitcoin at $5 – or chosen a different major – or listened to Mr. McGuire’s advice to young Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate,
Mr. McGuire: I want to say one word to you. Just one word. Benjamin: Yes, sir. Mr. McGuire: Are you listening? Benjamin: Yes, I am. Mr. McGuire: Plastics. Benjamin: Exactly how do you mean? Mr. McGuire: There’s a great future in plastics. Think about it. Will you think about it? "If only" is that haunting "I told you so" - it will always be right (even when it's wrong) and can never be defeated. It's vague enough to mean anything. Is there an alternative? Yes! (Remember - I told you there is.) Comments are closed.
