The hire fast, fire faster trend is rare. The hype of dismissing ego in hiring and spending less (time and money) on the next new team member - that hype is strong.
And scary. In the old world of job stability and continuity staying in a job for decades was virtuous. But not anymore. Each generation enjoys about the same number of jobs over a working lifetime - 11 to 13 different jobs. Oh, and at least 2 different, distinct 'fields' of employment. That's the same for Boomers, Millennials, and Gen's of all types. So the 'hire fast, fire faster' alternative is uncomfortable in a world that no longer exists. Get over it. Comments are closed.
