Firing faster in the 'hire fast, fire faster' approach to work and managing human capital means to set clear expectations, demand up-front performance (based on obvious skills - not onboarding metrics), and an obvious willingness to adapt to the work needed instead of the title granted.
Or, simply, I'll hire you based on believing your story of what you can do for me, and if you don't deliver I'll end the employment and wish you well by doing everything I can to help you find your next job. Scary? Maybe, but only if you think it's your job to make jobs into careers. And that's what most old school HR professionals learned way back when they were getting their certifications from literature learned and taught 20 years ago. Comments are closed.
