Empathy or Ego

Passionately communicating your mission, your passion - the air you need to breathe - is the new black, the next Uber...

So why isn't it working? Why aren't we doing measurably better (even though we feel better about trying)??

Our newfound obsession with our Why? - our virtue - our sacrifices - our hard work - and our mission can't escape our discouragement - our constant struggle - our failure at the most important thing in our lives.

We have one opportunity to connect - do we talk about our Why?

Do that, and we'll fail... fast.

Because we're deploying ego, not empathy.

The real goal of obsessing over our mission... our Why? is so we can be emotionally mature/secure enough to NOT talk about our mission... our Why? and instead learn to talk about others' mission... their Why? - their lives - their cares, concerns, problems and what makes them uneasy and what can transform their pain into safety, security and contentment.

Winning takes empathy, but all losing takes is ego.
