Doing What Others Don't

For you to add value - you can’t just do what someone else does.

That race is run - and that age is fading.

Assembly-line workers are like assembly-line parts - interchangeable, replaceable and only worth the lowest price or least inconvenient experience.

Doing what will be missed if it’s not done by you is THE alternative we all look for.

But if you're doing something close to what others are doing - you need to find a way of doing what you do in a more connected (emotionally) and humble (as in, grateful) way.

The kind of unique value-add that makes a difference today is in your culture - as long as your culture is your customer, that is.
