Creative Types

Are you jealous of creative types?

I admit I've been... but I still enjoying seeing how easy their creativity seems to someone like me who would have to struggle and struggle and probably still fail.

In one sense, creative types are successful even if what they do makes them no money (or even costs them money or time or both). They love what they do and do what they love.

So what's the difference between creative types who make a living (or just fun money) doing what they do, and creative types who can't, don't, or won't make a dime doing what they love?

Timing? Probably not.

Luck? Maybe.

Privilege? Could be, but then you have to account for all the exceptions to that.

How about empathy?

Empathy - experiencing, caring so much about what matters to others that we just have to use our creativity for them - to add value to their lives....

Most of us would rather say it's luck or something beyond our control.

But empathy is a better explanation.
